Reward Employees with a Little Competition

With the New Year comes new products, and companies want their employees to be up to date on everything they have to offer. They want their employees to become as familiar with the new products as they are with the existing ones.

Challenge: 

Promote internal education on new products and services to employees as part of their training.

Solution:

Over a two-week period, a company used Custom Chocolate Coins as currency. All of the office locations had contests (tests) of the employees and gave away the coins as rewards for the correct answers to new product training. At the end of the two-week period, the coins were redeemed for other prizes. The employees were also allowed to keep and eat the coins.

Results:

Employees became more informed and comfortable with the new products. The game brought out people’s competitive nature, and because they wanted to win, they were able to understand the products better. This was so successful in its first year, the company now implements a game each year to introduce new products.
