Don’t Forget to Acknowledge Your Teacher of the Year

As April draws to a close, schools are in their final stretch before a much needed Summer break. This also means it’s time for end of school banquets and time to honor those teachers who put everything they had into this school year.

Objective: As May rolls around, a high school is taking votes on who should be named this year’s Teacher of the Year. After a few weeks of nominations, they have it narrowed down to one.

Strategy: Teacher of the Year is a huge honor and something the high school wants to be special for the winner. In the past they had just given a simple plaque that wasn’t very engaging. This year they wanted to find an award that would look great and have a special meaning, as well as be around for years to come. Incorporating the school’s colors of green and white were also vital. The Flight Award was chosen to commemorate the individual who reached this special milestone. The emerald green crystal is a backdrop to the optical crystal, designed to feature a stunning deep etch.

Result: The teacher was genuinely surprised and blown away by the award. During her acceptance speech she mentioned how she didn’t expect such a nice award and was surprised there was no plaque any more. She was very grateful to the student body and the whole community for this distinguished award and proud to be a part of such a great school. The award has been a huge success, and it is something many of the teachers work hard to achieve each year.
