With Spring comes April showers. No one wants to let a little rain get in the way of enjoying a round of golf.
Objective: A Country Club decided it need a little help during the rainy months to get more golfers out on the course.
Strategy: They needed a gift that would incentivize members to continue to come out and golf, even in the rain! During the rainiest months of April and May, they decided to give each member that scheduled a tee time a nice golf umbrella. The umbrella they chose was a vented windproof umbrella, designed to resist inversion and features black fiberglass shaft and frame, making it less conductive to lightning. It was a nice 60” square umbrella that protected members from nature’s elements and also featured the country club logo.
Result: The members were surprised by the gift when they checked in for their tee times. Many thought this was above and beyond and really appreciated the gesture. Word spread about the umbrella and many other members decided to brave the weather and golf in the rainy conditions. The club had their best April and May in club history, and they decided that each Spring they would come up with some form of member appreciation gift.
