With Nurses Week coming up in May, think about including your clients in the celebration of nurses and all they do. While it is important for employers to acknowledge and celebrate nurses during the week, it means even more when clients know who and why the office is celebrating.
Objective: A pediatric department wanted to show appreciation to their nurses, and also let clients know who and why they were celebrating.
Strategy: Nobody likes going to the doctor, especially kids. The only upside to a doctor visit is the treat you get when you leave. The office thought this would be a great way to associate with Nurses Week. They decided on a few different treats that they would give out to the clients throughout the week. They went with M&M’s, Jellybeans, and Hersey Kisses, with a message across the top thanking the nurses in the office.
Result: Every client that came in that week was well aware it was Nurses Week by the time they left. They thought the extra treat was a great way to get everyone involved in celebrating the office nurses that do so much. Some of the clients were even thanking the nurses for the treats, and it really made them feel the appreciation all week long.
