Challenge
A bank wanted to create a one-off award for one of its clients to commemorate the company’s 25th year in business. The piece had to be something the client would proudly display in its corporate office and the bank favored the idea of using aluminum. The client manufactures large, industrial fiberglass storage tanks for petroleum, water and corrosive materials.
Solution
The client had the idea to create a replica of one of the company’s underground water tanks because it would be a visually interesting theme for the award. To satisfy the bank’s desire for aluminum, a base was created that carried the client’s business name as well as a congratulatory message from the bank. They created the sharp edges and precise nature of depicting the numbers in aluminum, allowing the production team to achieve a final product that was realistic and three-dimensional. All components of the piece were affixed to the base with screws to ensure durability and strength.
Results
Employees and visitors to the client’s office have been amazed by the quality and realistic nature of the piece. It is an outstanding memento to denote the company’s long life.
