Challenge

The Fête des Lilas organizing team was looking for a unique award to be given to the organization’s best horticulturist.  The Silver Lilac Award will be offered to the person that has been the most involved in the different horticultural projects of his community. The challenge was to create a piece of art that had to be original, massive, timeless and sophisticated all at once.

Solution

The creative team had the idea to combine a colorful and translucent synthetic material (acrylic) with a raw material (aluminum) to create a dynamic and stylish look. They cut the shape of a lilac out of aluminum and printed the flower artwork on top.  An additional acrylic piece was added to follow the curves of the silver lilac. The color of the acrylic was custom matched to perfectly fit with the organization’s logo.

Results

This award will represent the organization for years to come and will stand out from any other award on the market.
