Last week, we attended the Missouri SHRM Conference (Society for Human Resource Management) and had the pleasure of meeting with people across dozens of different platforms and areas of expertise. And during our conversations, we realized one thing. HR means different things to different people. In a poll we conducted of our top 4 “HR is…” buzz words, three of them rose to the top. Engaging, Leadership & Dedicated topped Effective.

Dedicated: 27.5%
Effective: 17.5%

So, what does this mean? We think it shows that human resource professionals are dedicated leaders who engage their employees in the mission of their organization, but who also struggle to accomplish their goals effectively. Many of our clients are in the same situation when we start with them. We then help them effectively implement their actions to achieve their goals.
