Credit Union Scores Big With Childrens’ Savings

A credit union gave children reusable clear printed measuring cups with bank slot lids to use as piggy banks. The credit union also had the option of printing measuring lines on the cup if they decided to help the kids keep tabs of their milestones. The piggy banks encouraged children to save and gave them incentive to become members of the credit union. If the child brought the cup back full and used it to open a savings account, the credit union would credit them $10 to their new savings account. This was a great campaign to stir up new accounts as well as teach great money habits.
