A group of order processing supervisors developed a small desktop wheel and other games similar to those you might find at a street festival. Each month one of the order processing employees is chosen to play a game. Each game contains a specified category that becomes the theme for the month. After a category is selected, the guidelines are reviewed by the supervisors and those order processing employees who meet the criteria at the end of the month receive a thank you in the form of a gift card, small gift or lunch.
The categories are:
1. Peer Choice – each area within the department votes for one person in their group based on accountability, communication, initiative and integrity.
2. RCMs (Returns, Credits & Markdowns) – each employee strives to be 100% perfect in order entry, however there are times this does not happen; each employee has a limit to the number of errors they are allowed within a given month.
3. Attendance – an employee does not call off within the month.
4. Productivity – each order processing specialist has a daily goal for the amount of orders entered.
5. Free Space – the order processing employee playing the game chooses the category for the month.
