Industry: Medical
Objective: Ease the Nurse’s work load
End User: Hospital patients
Detail: A hospital in Georgia wanted a means to prevent nurses from continuing to provide glasses of water to patients throughout the night. The suggested solution was a glow-in-the-dark stadium cup. When the lights went out in the patient’s room, the cup would glow, thus allowing the patient to see the cup when they woke up in the middle of the night. The patients could get their own water, taking the burden off the nurses hands.
Result: The hospital initially ordered 15,000 cups to see how the idea would work. They were so pleased with the results that they ordered 150,000 more and distributed the cups throughout the majority of the hospital.
