This is a great question and one we get asked often by our prospects and referrals. The best way to answer this question is by telling you a short story.
As many of you know, I grew up working for Emerson in their motor divisions and was fortunate to be exposed to many great mentors before making the leap to join my father in the family business. In one of my positions, I was responsible for doing most of the communication between our major customer and our engineering and eventually our production personnel. My boss and mentor, Ken Grams, gave me two pieces of great advice. First, always be “part of the solution and not part of the problem”; and second, “do what you say you are going to do, when you are going to do it”.
These are amazingly simple concepts that are really hard to do. In fact, a majority of people struggle with having a positive attitude and commitment. When we look for new people to join our great team, these are the two traits that we look for. Most of the rest we can teach. So far we have done an excellent job of drafting as we have an awesome team.
And it makes a real difference! Our clients see that we are constantly looking to find creative solutions to their problems, whether the solution is in our ability to provide, or we recommend them to someone else who can provide the solution to them. They also will eventually realize that we stand behind everything we do. Because things happen, and when they do, we pull out all of the stops to find another solution that will make it right.
One of the best compliments a client gave to us is “We love working with you, because once you commit to a project, it is as good as done and I do not have to worry about it anymore.”
So, yes the creative solutions are a great reason to work with us at Lipic’s, but the real reason to do it is because we will do what we say we are going to do, when we say we will do it.
